Lauren Joseph Wolongevicz is an experienced appellate attorney representing clients in civil, criminal, and family law appeals throughout Massachusetts and New Mexico. She also partners with attorneys and law firms nationwide, providing appellate brief writing, legal research, and strategy consulting in complex state and federal appeals.
An authority in appellate practice, Lauren has served as lead counsel in more than 90 cases before the New Mexico Court of Appeals and Supreme Court. Her briefing experience spans the U.S. Supreme Court, federal circuits, and appellate courts in more than 10 states. Her work focuses on identifying legal errors, preserving appellate issues, and crafting clear, compelling briefs designed to succeed on review.

Background
Before founding her practice, Lauren served as an Assistant Attorney General in the Criminal Appeals Division of the New Mexico Office of the Attorney General, handling matters ranging from misdemeanor offenses to complex homicide appeals. She also clerked for Chief Judge Linda M. Vanzi at the New Mexico Court of Appeals, contributing to published opinions on diverse civil and criminal issues.
Lauren earned her J.D. from the University of Denver Sturm College of Law, graduating in the top 10 percent of her class and being inducted into the Order of the Coif. She served as Tenth Circuit Survey Editor for the Denver University Law Review and contributed to the Water Law Review. During her studies, she interned with Chief Justice Charles W. Daniels at the New Mexico Supreme Court.
In a previous chapter of life, Lauren worked as an Adventure-Based Counselor, EMT, and Wilderness First Responder. Originally from the Boston area, she met her husband in Albuquerque, New Mexico, and today they stay active keeping up with their three children—Aaron, Leah, and Jayden—while enjoying hiking and backpacking whenever possible.
